West Virginia Crime Fighters

Working together to combat multi-jurisdictional criminals!

The West Virginia Crime Fighters Patch was designed by a good friend and member of the WVCF.

Home

The West Virginia Crime Fighters started in 1997 with a few Investigators/Detectives in Harrison County, West Virginia.  The first members had monthly meetings to discuss open cases that involved more than just one community.  Through the years the number of Investigators/Detectives grew from a few Harrison County agencies to a number of different agencies throughout North Central West Virginia.  A good friend and active member of these Investigators and Detectives developed the patch and a website named West Virginia Crime Fighters.  This group of Investigators/Detectives adopted the name and continue to date to refer themselves as the West Virginia Crime Fighters.  The West Virginia Crime Fighters are over 100 strong, and meet the second Tuesday of each month to discuss multi-jurisdictional criminals.

Goal of West Virginia Crime Fighters

Criminals know no boundaries and commit a number of different types of crimes that cross jurisdictional boundaries.  Recognizing this problem the WVCF members meet on a monthly basis to discuss these type of criminals, and complete successful investigations with the assistance of other member agencies.  As investigators and detectives the WVCF members have learned that with new technology, criminals today will use a variety of different methods to complete their crimes and that in order for us to be successful in the arrest and prosecution of these criminals we have to combine our efforts and information to combat this new age of criminal activity.

Purpose of the West Virginia Crime Fighters Website

The West Virginia Crime Fighters recognize that in order to solve some crimes, we need the assistance of the residents of our communities.  With this website the public can view open cases and see what type of unsolved crimes are being investigated in their communities.  The public can help the West Virginia Crime Fighters in one of two ways to solve these open cases.  The public can either use the links on the website to contact the investigating officer or the website administrator with information that can be used to solve these crimes and providing their personal information as a possible witness. Or they can make an anonymous tip to the administrator with this information.  All information given to the administrator will be forwarded to the appropriate agency investigating the crime, without giving the tip givers name or information.

Case Submissions:
