Valley Point, WV Burglary

The Preston County Sheriffs Department is investigating a burglary to a residence located along Route 26 in Valley Point, Preston County.  The burglary occurred around 12:20 on Sunday and the suspect stole over $2,000.00 in collectable coins and cash.  Some of the currency included U-S half dollar coins, and one, five, ten and twenty dollar bills.  Some of the bills are from the 1800s and early 1900s.  The suspect is described as 5’ 11” tall with a slender build.  Suspect was wearing a dark colored ball cap, light blue shirt and dark pants.  Suspect was seen walking south on Route 26 near the Valley Point Cemetery.  If you have any information of this burglary, contact the Preston County Sheriffs Department at 304-329-1611 or email Det.
