A NEW CUSTOMER WITH THE CITY OF BRIDGEPORT WATER & SEWER UTILITY
DEPARTMENT MUST MAKE APPLICATION IN PERSON. THEY MUST GIVE AT LEAST A
DAYS NOTICE OR BY 12:00 PM THE DAY THEY WISH TO BEGIN THEIR SERVICE. APPLICATIONS
ARE TAKEN MONDAY THRU FRIDAY, 7:30AM UNTIL 4:00PM. A CUSTOMER MUST BE
AT THE LOCATION WHERE SERVICE HAS BEEN SHUT OFF. THE INFORMATION REQUIRED
FROM A NEW CUSTOMER IS AS FOLLOWS:
- COPY OF DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER
- SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER
- SERVICE LOCATION
- SPOUSE NAME
- PHONE NUMBER
- EMPLOYMENT BOTH PARTIES
- FAMILY MEMBER AS A PERSONAL REFERENCE
- BUYING OR RENTING AT ABOVE LOCATION
- SIGN APPLICATION CARD
AT THE TIME APPLICATION IS MADE THE CUSTOMER IS GIVEN A GENERAL INFORMATION
SHEET. THIS INFORMS THE CUSTOMER OF OUR POLICYS AND PROCEDURES, A BREAKDOWN
OF OUR CURRENT WATER AND SEWER RATES, NEW CONNECTIONS TO OUR MAIN LINE
AND THE OTHER UTILITIES THEY NEED TO CONTACT FOR SERVICE.
