Welcome to the Bridgeport ParksDon Burton, Director and Recreation Department.
As Director, I am pleased to have you visit our homepage. It is our commitment to create a website that will prove both useful and informative. Furthermore, we hope that our citizens, visitors and park patrons will utilize this valuable resource to remain up to date on Bridgeport Parks and Recreation programs, services and facilities.

The mission of the Bridgeport Parks and Recreation Department is: "To provide the residents of Bridgeport with a variety of quality recreational, educational and cultural programs to, in turn, help enhance the quality of life. It is a priority of our department to provide an open line of communication with the public that will foster quality recreational programs, safe and adequate facilities and healthy and active lifestyles for our citizens.

We feel that the internet will prove to be important tools in our efforts communicate our services and receive feedback from our citizens. Bridgeport Parks and Recreation department consists of numerous Parks and Recreational Facilities. Your parks are more than just swing sets and slides; there are trails, picnic shelters, ball field's, two lakes, lighted basketball and tennis courts, swimming pool and much, much more.
