Newcomers and Friends of Bridgeport, WV
The Newcomers and Friends Club extends to you a warm welcome as you settle into your new home. First organized as the Bridgeport Newcomers Club in January 1960, the group has evolved into the Newcomers and Friends of today and remains a service organization dedicated to welcoming those new to the area and lending support and friendship as you become a part of your new community.
The Newcomers and Friends Club is an ever-changing organization, open to the needs and interests of the members, not only in the city of Bridgeport but to all women throughout the region. The members enjoy varied activities in a social setting. It is a diverse group combining whose who have recently moved to the area and others who remain part of the Newcomers and Friends club over several years to lend their support to new neighbors.
