WHO WE ARE: GFWC Woman's Club of Bridgeport is affiliated with General Federation of Women's Clubs, one of the world's largest and oldest women's volunteer service organizations. United by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service, they include a diversity of ages, interests and experiences. 

Organized on January 20, 1950, GFWC Woman's Club of Bridgeport has devoted almost half a century to service to the community of Bridgeport and to Federation projects worldwide.

WHAT WE DO: Members address needs of our community and the country. This includes preserving natural resources, stressing good citizenship, encouraging healthy lifestyles, contributing to world peace and international understanding, supporting participation in the arts, promoting education, and providing leadership opportunities for our members and youth. 

MEMBERSHIP: Membership in the GFWC Woman's Club of Bridgeport is open to any interested woman in the area. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from September through May at the Benedum Civic Center at 7:00pm. For more information, women interested in joining may call Mrs. Shirley Hadorn at 842-8310.
