A new customer with the City of Bridgeport water and sewer utility department must make application in person (515 W. Main Street, Bridgeport). The customer must give at least one day notice or by 12:00 p.m. the day they wish to begin their service. Applications are taken Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. A customer must be at the location where service has been shut off. The information required from a new customer is as follows:
At the time application is made, the customer is given a general information sheet. This informs the customer of our policies and procedures, a breakdown of our current water and sewer rates, new connections to our main line and the other utilities they need to contact for service.
