Community Conversation with West Virginians For Energy Freedom

West Virginians For Energy Freedom’s first Community Conversation, hosted by North Central West Virginia Democracy For America, is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at The Gaston Caperton Center (Room 148), 501 W. Main St., Clarksburg, WV 26301. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

Join us for a community conversation – stop FirstEnergy's bailout! Mon Power and Potomac Edison's parent company – the Ohio-based utility giant, FirstEnergy – is looking for a bailout from West Virginia electricity customers. FirstEnergy wants to offload the obsolete and uncompetitive Pleasants power plant onto Mon Power, forcing Mon Power and Potomac Edison to pay for the plant's costs for the next several decades. Mon Power and Potomac Edison don't need any additional power plants, and we especially don't need to be paying more just to bail out FirstEnergy's shareholders. Come find out more about FirstEnergy's scheme and what you can do to fight back against our monopoly utility!
