It is the Fire Department's commitment to make this web page useful and informative for our visitors and citizens. The City of Bridgeport Fire Department is made up of a combination department utilizing a full-time paid staff of 12 members along with a volunteer organization with over 30 members. We handle both Fire and EMS calls and are on a call every day. In 2004, we went on a total of 1756 calls with 1,224 consisting of Emergency Medical Calls and 532 on all other calls. One of the Fire Departments goal is to make this agency more accessible to all persons and other Fire and EMS agencies The internet is a means of access to the department and helps at improving the quality of communications while enhancing the flow of information necessary for the efficient and productive operations of the Fire Department.
