New Recreation Complex
Opportunity lives here...and City of Bridgeport is growing its recreation opportunities by leaps and bounds with the opening of our newest facility. The City of Bridgeport is proud to announce the opening of the Bridgeport Recreation Complex in March of 2012. Grand Opening and Dedication of the Park is scheduled for mid-April 2012.
Located at Charles Pointe, Bridgeport's new premier Recreation Complex will include four baseball fields--two regulation size, appropriate for Pony League through high school and adult--and two Little League size, appropriate for softball and all youth leagues.
A full-scale press box, concession and restroom center will be located in the fourplex.
A multipurpose field will be available for additional sports, such as soccer, lacrosse and flag football.
The complex will also include a one-mile, 12-foot wide, paved walking trail, a basketball court and two small playgrounds-- one in the North Bay area and the other in the vicinity of the ball fields.
