I grew up in Bridgeport and graduated from Bridgeport High School. I served in law enforcement 30 years before being appointed the Chief of Police of Bridgeport. I am very proud to return to my home town to serve the residents of our community. During my tenure in law enforcement, I have served as a Patrol Officer, Shift Supervisor, Detective, Chief of Detectives, and Chief of Police. I believe very strongly in community policing and being proactive. I enjoy working with the citizens of Bridgeport. TOGETHER, we can continue to enjoy living in a safe community. Administrative LieutenantDeputy Chief Hartley was hired by the Bridgeport Police Department on 4-20-97 and worked patrol until March of 2002 when he was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division. In April of 2005, he was promoted to Sgt. and returned to patrol. On July 8th, 2008 he was promoted to Lt where he became a shift commander. Deputy Chief Hartley is also one of the departments certified Accident Reconstruction Investigators. He promoted to Administrative Lt. in November 2009, and is currently assigned as second in command under the Chief of Police. Administrative Assistant/Court ClerkLisa Zirkle was hired by the City of Bridgeport on April 24, 1989, where she was assigned in the Finance Department as a Tax and License Auditor. Lisa worked in the Finance Department for 7 years before transferring to the Police Department in March of 1996 to take the position of Administrative Assistant and Court Clerk. Administrative AssistantFran Vance was hired on August 7th, 1998 as a Administrative Assistant. Fran handles entering daily reports, citations, and answering the phones. |
